SUMMARY:Joint Webinar: Policy recommendations for 5G deployment
DESCRIPTION:A shared perspective from 5G-LOGINNOV\, 5G-MOBIX and 5GMETA\nFriday 27 October 2023 – 11:00 – 12:45 CEST\n\nThe webinar will present policy recommendations stemming from the 5G-LOGINNOV project and its counterparts\, 5G-MOBIX and 5GMETA. The three projects share a common goal of leveraging 5G core technologies to enhance various aspects of transportation and connectivity. \n5G-LOGINNOV focuses on integrating and validating port and logistics operations using 5G\, IoT\, data analytics\, and CCAM technologies. By deploying 11 families of use cases\, the project aims to optimize operations\, reduce environmental impact\, and foster economic growth through 5G core technologies. The project’s recommendations offer guidance for emerging European 5G core technologies\, enhancing logistics and port hubs.\nIn parallel\, 5G-MOBIX concentrates on 5G-based CAM deployments in cross-border regions\, with recommendations derived from extensive tests. These suggestions tackle challenges in deployment\, data\, application interoperability\, cybersecurity\, aiming to ensure seamless CAM service connectivity across borders.\nMeanwhile\, 5GMETA is developing an open Platform that aims to leverage car-captured data to stimulate\, facilitate and feed innovative products and services. It will develop and integrate a set of 5G network functions by applying service slicing for data delivery based on IoT architectures and technologies. \n\nWhile one centres on transport\, the other on cross-corridor and the last one is a platform\, all projects share a vision of leveraging 5G core advancements for efficient\, eco-friendly transportation\, mobility\, and economic growth. The webinar underscores the shared vision and the particularities of these projects and their contributions to the advancement of 5G technology in their respective domains. \n\nDo not miss the chance to participate!\nREGISTER HERE: LINK \n  \nUPDATED AGENDA:\n11:00 – 11:05\nWelcome – Giuseppe Sirignano (PSM\, Innovation & Deployment\, ERTICO)\n11:05 – 11:10\nIntroduction – Dr. Jorge Pereira (Project Officer for 5G-LOGINNOV\, 5G-MOBIX & 5GMETA)\n11:10 – 11:20\n5G-MOBIX: The Project and highlights – Coen Bresser (Senior Manager\, Innovation & Deployment\, ERTICO)\n11:20 – 11:30\n5GMETA: The Project and highlights – Dr. Gorka Vélez Isasmendi (Senior Researcher\, Vicomtech)\n11:30 – 11:40\n5G-LOGINNOV: The Project and highlights – Dr. Eusebiu Catana (Senior Manager\, Innovation & Deployment\, ERTICO)\n11:40 – 12:30\nPOLICY RECOMMENDATIONS – the vision for the future of 5G deployment\nLidia Buenavida Peña (Manager Innovation & Deployment\, ERTICO)\nIng.
